"...I want movie fans to feel they are wearing something really special and know that they are one of only a small number to own that shirt on their back...."
- Alex Chenery

So who the hell am I?

Dark Bunny Tees is basically me, Alex Chenery, born 20th December 1976 and a freelance illustrator from Norwich, England. I have been an Illustrator since October 2008 and have been commissioned by some amazing clients with work including some potentially huge children's book and animation projects.

Visit my site at some point if you wish - Dark Bunny Illustration

If you don't want to go there just yet, you can view some time lapse videos of some digital portraits I have done, including the awesome Ron Burgundy and the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale!

From 1998 - 2002 I worked for numerous computer game magazines as a senior member of a gaming solutions department, where I was responsible for busting some of the biggest gaming titles around, such as Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy, Pokemon and the Resident Evil series. This involved writing how to do each step of the game whilst producing maps and icon images.

Let's just say that the tight deadlines and a 48 hour straight shift on 'Wild Arms' for the PlayStation put me off gaming for a while! - Don't worry, I'm back on it now, when I get time!

I have always wanted to draw and design for a living and it wasn't until I met my partner Pip and had our twin boys Louie and Ollie in April 2008, that I had the freedom to try and launch a career.

Believe me, when you have kids, your social life goes out the window, so my PC, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator became my new best friends!

After having a successful year as an illustrator, I really wanted to put my designs on some t-shirts. I am a huge fan of 'The t-shirt' and movies and my 'rocket-up-the-backside' moment came when my little nephew George drew a picture of my family in that 'super-cute' children's way. This gave me the idea for a line of t-shirts, which are unfortunately not currently the designs on here, but I do hope to launch at some point. Dark Bunny Tees was born.

I want to create designs that don't rely on movie logos or Chunk doing the 'truffle shuffle' (although I do own that t-shirt) I wanted to create some designs that were a bit 'off-the-wall' as if somehow the characters from my favourite films were in some kind of alternative universe or something.

I hope I have achieved that. If not, at least a smile from you.

Anyway, what you doing reading about boring old me? Go buy a t-shirt!

Thanks for stopping by San Diego,
