"A Public Apology!"

July 21st, 2010

I've been having a few teething problems recently, especially with getting to grips with ensuring I have enough stock to cater for you guys!

You could say I was a little unprepared for the response to my ads in Total Film & SFX and without the ability to print in house, instead relying on a independent printers who do have other client commitments, some customers have had to wait for their orders.

I realise this situation has to change and I am currently working towards ensuring that I can get orders to people ASAP, without having to wait weeks!

This may take a little time to smooth over, but believe me I am on it - Hence stalling the release of any new designs recently.

I really do apologise to those who have had to wait and I can only thank you for your patience.

If you can't read the above image properly, after the initial Shining style breakdown I've been having over this, it says;

"An apology from Alex at Dark Bunny Tees

May I first thank you for purchasing from me.

I am truly sorry if you have encountered any delays receiving your item and I really do appreciate your patience.

Having started Dark Bunny Tees in October 2009 I am still a relatively young company and am literally one man working from his front room.

Without the ability to print in-house I have to use an
independent printer who, while amazing at what they do, also have other client commitments and this has caused delays in re-printing some of my designs. For this I apologise.

The past few months have revealed some flaws in my operation and these are being addressed ASAP so that these lengthy delays are minimised & eventually eradicated.

At the end of the day, I have been overwhelmed, if not
ill-prepared for the fantastic response from you guys.

Customer service is my top priority and if you have suffered a lengthy wait for your apparel then I do hope that it has not put you off shopping with Dark Bunny Tees again.

Again, my deepest apologies and greatest thanks

Alex"

"Photo Comp - The Print Advert!"

July 13th, 2010

Finally, here is the advert that will appear in Total Film, SFX, Comic Heroes & DVD and Blu Ray Review!

Composed of the 5 winners of the Dark Bunny Tees photo competition set way back in February, I think you'll agree that this will look stunning in full-page print!

I can not thank you enough for all of your entries and to the winners;

Jodie Gardiner (First Place), Malc Foy, Tom Webster, Mark Cox & Andy Bell.

The effort and hard work really means a lot to me and I hope you like the ad!

Look out for it in upcoming issues of the mags mentioned - Because of the very early print deadlines, it will most likely be the September / October issues!

"Dark Bunny Tees Needs You - Comp Winners!"

July 5th, 2010

Hurrah!! I know it's been a long time coming, but I thought due to the horrendous delays I had a print, extending the deadline by a month was the fairest thing to do.

Well - The wait is over and I can announce the results!

FIRST PRIZE: JODIE GARDINER

s

A hell of a lot of planning went into the shoot of this AWESOME pic. Roping in a load of his mates, fantastic attire related to each movie t-shirt worn AND the construction of an Alien Chestburster machine to create the perfect action shot. Also, with the photoshop work done to bring it all together I think you'll agree these guys are worthy winners! Jodie wins: 1 x T-Shirt a month for 12 months Photo featured in an ad campaign SFX, TOTAL FILM, COMIC HEROES & DVD/BLU RAY MAGAZINE (Sept or October Issues) PLUS: His t-shirt design created as a limited edition DBT Well done Jodie!!!

RUNNERS UP (Who each win a place in the ad campaign AND a t-shirt a month for a year)

s

Malc Foy: Raiders of The Lost Tee
Cloning himself to appear in both the Sadako & Baseball Furies tees in the SAME photo, Malc spoofs the Idol/Bag O' Sand switch moment - He risks death by big ball for the much more valuable Dark Bunny Tee VHS packaging

s

Andy Bell: Bunny Spotting
Andy just scraped his entry in at the last minute, but what a fantastic image. Recreating the iconic Trainspotting image - Just amazing!!!

s

Tom Webster: Shaun of the Dread & Sore!
Tom and his dad Chris sent me loads of fantastic entries from a variety of movies. These were my faves and the effort these guys went to was outstanding!

s

Mark Cox - My witness, the Trooper
Special props goes to Mark Cox as, for one, I couldn't get his Star Wars t-shirt in time for his holiday. What he didn't tell me was that he was heading off to Tunisia to do the Star Wars tour AND get married in one of the locations IN a Dark Bunny Tees BTTF t-shirt.

Gutted it couldn't have been the Meet the SkyWalkers tee, but I hope this makes up for it Mark. I'll be doing a little write up on this uber cool situation later on.

I'll be getting touch with all winners ASAP, to get some more info from you - Just so I can big you all up in the ads!

"Ladies Only - Iron Man 2 Dance Troupe tees!"

May 7, 2010

If you have not seen Iron Man 2 yet, do so - It's great! I came out immediately inspired to do these exclusive ladies only t-shirts (Don't worry men - your design is coming very soon!) Based on a dance troupe called the Ironettes, seen in the movie opening the 2010 Stark Expo, I decided that was the perfect way to go for a t-shirt. I also wanted to do a retro tee, inspired by references to Stark's father and the 1974 Stark Expo. Would they have had a dance troupe back then? Well, if not then I have made one up!

"Star Wars: Jabba's Palace Tee released"

April 23, 2010

"That is scarcely what I would call a palace, Artoo. It looks more like an iron foundry"

Jabba's Palace - The one bar in the galaxy you really don't want to find yourself in during a pub crawl. Unless of course you are complete scum, a bounty hunter or a kick-ass Jedi.

This is my homage to one of my favourite scenes from Return of the Jedi, advertising this dive of a bar as you'd find on a flyer or on a t-shirt you'd buy from the palace itself.

Of course you have the pin-up style 'Slave Girls' wearing the infamous gold bikini. The Rancor also features along with a couple of familiar icons such as the palace itself and the 'jester' Salacious B. Crumb. You also have reference to The Max Rebo Band! All set on a design inspired by the twin moons of Tatooine.

This IS the t-shirt you are looking for!

This movie t-shirt comes in Super-Soft, Vintage Washed Black

Remember - Only 100 of these will ever be printed Worldwide! Get it while you can! - HERE!

"Dark Bunny Tees gets a nod from the London Thrillist"

April 9, 2010

Many thanks to Jason Allen for writing a great piece on Dark Bunny Tees on their new website, Thrillist!

Dark Bunny Tees

Movie riffs to cover your nips

Sci-fi flicks often use futuristic adverts to great satirical effect: the commercials in Robocop served as portents of corporate dictatorship and a flippant attitude towards nuclear holocaust, while those in Idiocracy warned us about the risks of…Ow my balls!!!! Now applying that same humor to classic flicks, Dark Bunny Tees.

Dreamt up by illustrator/ animator/ former video-game journo Alex Chenery, Bunny takes aspects of his favorite films and turns them into promotional material for hyper-capitalistic businesses, partly for social commentary, and partly because he wanted cine-threads that didn't merely "show Chunk doing the truffle shuffle" (who needs more belly on their belly?). The more old-school shirts have a faded, cracked-print style, and include the Nightmare-ish Krueger's Realty ("Making your dreams a reality"), a Warriors-riffing Triple Gang Tee Box Set (Rogues Dark Beer/Furies Little League Coaching/Gang Subway Map), and a 'Mad' Max Rockatansky job offering "Safe Passage on Furious Roads", with payments accepted being "fuel, guns, ammunition, food, and information" ("Jews control Hollywood" will get you from Melbourne to Perth). There's also more recent, less-faded fare, from the Shaun of the Dead Fried Gold Recruitment Farm with zombies handing out Cornetto and coffee, to the straight-up Anchorman riff Sex Panther ("60% of the time, it works every time" works 100% of the time).

For a meta-riff on this line's inspiration, there's even a Robocop shirt hawking pseudo-product Directive 3, "The baby food that upholds the Law" -- making this an ad-based parody of a movie that satirizes ads and…Ow my brain!!!!

"War-riors....Come out to play-yay!"

March 9, 2010

How's this for a fantastic box set? - 3 Warrior gang t-shirts, the Baseball Furies, the Warriors and the Rogues each packed in their own exclusive Gang Vest VHS case.

v

Baseball Furies: Little League Coaching - (Available separately HERE)

v

Three of the infamous gang adorn this spoof ad, with their ulra cool & menacing coloured make-up for everyone to see. Centre piece is a skull and cross-bones style design using a thwacked baseball and two bats. Of course you have the Furies simple, but easily recognisable logo front and centre. - 7 Colour Screen Print on Vintage Black

Warriors: Subway Gang Tours - (Exclusive to this box set)

v

The main focus of the movie. This Warriors design has a simple, but accurate subway map as the centre piece. The movie used real locations and this design shows the route the Warriors need to take to get from Van Cortlandt Park to their home turf, Coney Island. Along the way you have all of the gang names and turf areas listed. The Warriors logo sits neatly in the bottom corner. - 8 Colour Screen Print on Vintage Brown

The Rogues: Dark Beer - (Exclusive to this box set)

v

One of the most chilling scenes in the film depicts Rogue leader Luther taunting the Warriors with his clinking of beer bottles and infamous 'Warriors.....come out to play-yay..." These are the main focus of this t-shirt design. Why not give the Rogues their own brew? The Rogues logo features prominently on this design, simply because it is a great, great emblem! - 4 Colour Screen Print on Vintage Black

Exclusive Gang Vest Packaging

If you were not aware, all of Dark Bunny Tees t-shirts come packaged in an old-skool VHS case. Each design has it's own tailored rental style sleeve. This allows me to create some super cool special editions and the Warriors box set is a perfect opportunity. Each of the three t-shirts will come packaged in their relevant Gang Vest sleeve. Clean & simple. On the back of the case you have the back of the vest with each gangs awesome emblem.

v

Each sleeve was designed, sketched and digitally inked and coloured by myself.

The Warriors and Rogue t-shirts will not be available separately for the foreseeable future. If at all.

So if you are a Warriors fan, how can you miss out on this amazing triple tee box set? - GET IT HERE NOW!

NEW TEE! - The Warriors: Baseball Furies

March 7, 2010

"Can you dig it?"

If there is one set of characters you'll never forget, then it's the Baseball Furies gang from The Warriors. Iconic and ultra cool with their crazy KISS style make up and battering skills with their weapon of choice! This is my homage to those guys and the movie itself with a spoof advert for little league coaching services - Would you want your kids taught to swing a bat like these guys? Maybe not.

This movie t-shirt is a full 7-colour screen-print (no transfers here!) and comes in Super-Soft, Vintage Washed Black

Remember - Only 100 of these will be printed Worldwide!

Get it HERE while you can!

Emily Booth sports the DBT Ring T-Shirt!

Feb 23, 2010

Emily Booth has become a huge fan of Dark Bunny Tees and has a selection to choose from in her wardrobe. During a recent visit to the Ghouls on Film fesival she wore the Ring design and emailed me the photos! The lovely miss Booth even took the packaging with her!

Get the Ring:Sadako Video rental here!

Clash of the Titans tee now available!

Feb 11, 2010

Check out the brand new Clash of the Titans t-shirt. The remake is on the way, but this is an ode to the original God & monster-fest (1981)

Inspired by the pay-per view boxing ads you see, this one pits Perseus against, for me, the two most memorable beasts - Medusa and Calibos. You also have Bubo the clockwork owl in there and the whole event is being promoted by Zeus and Thetis, the Gods that essentially control the entire story of the movie.

This is a 7 colour screen print on a fantastic vintage brown tee. The design also has a super-distressed, ancient Greece look to it.

Check it out here!

Edgar Wright praises my work!!

Feb 9, 2010

As you may have gathered, I am a huge (HUGE!) fan of Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

Because of this, a lot of my digital art and portraits are from their movies. Not only because they are some of my favourite films, but because the guys themselves really appreciate fan art.

Edgar Wright is currently finishing his movie adaptation of the Scott Pilgrim comic books and because of this I decided to create a digital speed painting, using the one and only official film still currently available to the public.

Having done this I put the video on YouTube and within a few minutes, Edgar Wright (@edgarwright - Follow him on Twitter, he is fascinating) contacted me saying;

"Astonishing! Blogged it!"

Amazing to get a nod from one of my movie heroes!

Check out his Blog here

Dark Bunny Tees needs YOU!

Feb 7, 2010

I have been wanting to create a cool advertising campaign for Dark Bunny Tees for a while now, but was never really sure what I wanted to do.

Then it hit me - I am getting such great feedback from customers and I thought why the hell don't I just get you guys involved! Word of mouth is one of the most powerful forms of advertising and that is because it comes from those who know and care about a product, namely the people that use it - You!

What I would like to do is run a photo competition, giving Dark Bunny Tee customers a chance to showcase their imagination and love of film.

What are the prizes?

I am looking for 5 main winners and their photos will be incorporated into an online and print advertising campaign.

Ultimate Winner

1) Your movie t-shirt idea designed and printed as a limited edition Dark Bunny Tee, with full credits and custom packaging. You will also get a signed copy of the original artwork.

2) One Dark Bunny T-shirt of your choice a month for a whole year - Worth £300

3) Your winning photo used in a full page advertisement in one of the UKs leading film magazines this summer - With due credits to everyone involved in your photo incorporated into the advertisement (Director of photography, Starring, Make-up etc)

4) Your photo advertisement used in an online advertising campaign.

Four Runners-Up

1) One Dark Bunny T-shirt of your choice a month for a whole year - Worth £300

2) Your photo advertisement used in an online advertising campaign. With due credits to everyone involved in your photo incorporated into the advertisement (Director of photography, Starring, Make-up etc)

What do you need to do?

Rules are simple - Take a photo of you (or a friend, or more than one friend depending on how many t-shirts you own) In a movie-themed setting. This could be anything at all. A recreation of one of your favourite movie scenes. Inside a cinema with a bunch of your mates, whatever you like.

The only stipulations are;

1) Your Dark Bunny T-Shirt(s) is clearly visible in the photo.

2) The photo is nice and clear as the chosen pic will be used in print advertising. I'd also like all entries in a digital format

What are you looking for in a winner?

You gotta love the movies to enjoy these tees, so as an owner of one you are pretty much there. Let that love of film show through. The more elaborate and entertaining the image, the more chance you have.

1) Creativity & sheer movie genius

2) Quality in the image itself (no blurring and a standard digital photo size (minimum)Your image will need to be enlarged to A4

So that's it! I hope you think it's a cool competition with a cool prize

You can enter as many images as you want, the more ideas you have the better. Ideally I am looking for 5 winners showcasing different designs

Entries must be sent to alex@darkbunnytees.com

By entering this competition you agree that all parties & people involved have given their permission for the photo to be used by Dark Bunny Tees, in a public advertising campaign

Closing Date: 1st June 2010 (with winners announced by 30th June 2010)

GOOD LUCK! - Alex

Star Wars t-shirt released!

Jan 10, 2010

The force seems to be with this design!

I put this design on Twitter and asked if anyone would buy a t-shirt with it on. The response was greater than I could have imagined, so here it is.

It is a slight departure from my usual style, but the public have spoken and this may turn into an entire 'me and my friends' range, depicting your favourite movies in child's doodle form - With a dark edge to them of course!

This is also the first Dark Bunny Tees t-shirt to offer a colour choice.

Remember, as always only 100 are being printed Worldwide!

This item looks like it will sell out pretty quick, so if you want one click here

Simon Pegg says hello to Dark Bunny Tees!

December 26, 2009

I was gobsmaked to read an email Simon Pegg sent to me regarding my t-shirts. I while back I had sent a Dawn of the Dead t-shirt to his agent, not expecting much back. However, to top off a great Christmas on Boxing Day this email arrived in my inbox!

"Hi Alex,

Just wanted to thank you for my t-shirt. Got a parcel from my agent
just before Christmas and wondered why someone had sent me a VHS. Of
course on further inspection, I discovered the rather ingenious
packaging concept contained a very cool surprise. Checked out the site
too. Love the Fried Gold Recruitment Farm.

Thanks again Alex,

Best,

Simon"

Simon is one of my all time comedy & movie heroes (including Nick Frost and Edgar Wright) so to get this was really cool!

JoBlo Exclusive Packaging Artwork!

December 18, 2009

Recently I offered the guys over at JoBlo.com an exclusive link to my new Shaun of the Dead inspired t-shirt. This design won't be officially available until Jan 2010, but as a huge fan of JoBlo I wanted to give their readers the chance to a) Order the Shaun of the Dead t-shirt before anyone else and b) The first 50 orders will get their t-shirt packaged with some exclusive custom artwork. Check it out!

If you are interested in getting your hands on one of these - Click here!

Jerzees Discontinue the range I use!

December 17, 2009

I had some rather frustrating news today. I found out from my printers that Jerzees have stopped production of the range of t-shirts I use to print on! There is nothing I can do about this unfortunately, but I have sourced a great replacement from Continental. A super soft, vintage washed tee, with a wider colour range!

You got to roll with the punches!

The only t-shirt currently effected is the Back to the Future t-shirt, which is due a re-print. It looks pretty sweet on the new denim blue. I hope you agree.

Dark Bunny Tees welcomes Matt Cuttle on board!!

December 10, 2009

It's tough starting a business on your own and so far Dark Bunny Tees as been one man struggling to get designs made and t-shirts printed.

Luckily, one of my good friends Matt Cuttle has agreed to throw a little investment my way, which means that I can now put all current designs into production and do away with the Pre-Order system.

My thanks go out to Matt - Welcome aboard the good ship DBT!

Matt is on the left (voice of Super Mario is on the right)

The Screamstress horror website checks out Dark Bunny Tees!

December 4, 2009 by Alison

Sadly, I have seen a lot of awful horror film inspired t-shirts that end up looking overdone, overcrowded and lack originality. Freelance illustrator Alex Chenery has effectively solved that problem by starting his own unique movie inspired t-shirt company, Dark Bunny Tees. Even though he just set up shop in October, Alex has had a huge response to his work and it’s easy to see why.

Dawn Ringu Elm

“I’m trying to be a little different than all the rest, using my skills as a freelance illustrator to create some ‘movie-spoof art’ rather than stick a familiar logo or simply designed parody on a shirt,” Alex explained. Mission accomplished Sir. His creative designs are reminiscent of some of the great old exploitation illustrations, combined with a nifty vintage tin sign feel. The result is unexpected, imaginative and full of win. Each design is filled with enough in-jokes to please the biggest horror fan but doesn’t look like your typical fare. Take note–Alex is a one-man band and all of his shirts are limited editions (100 designs max worldwide), which guarantees you’re getting a one of a kind work of art. He’s considering reducing his line to a 20 print run so the sooner you order the better. One more reason to order from Dark Bunny Tees is the ridiculously cool packaging–each t-shirt is shipped in its own A4 old skool video box with its own cover sleeve design. I think I just melted. What more do you people need?! Order one of these bad boys here! (Ladies, they come in girly tees if you’re worried about a proper fit) While you’re at it, show the man some love on Twitter.

Dark Bunny Tees gets a mention on HideYourArms.com 18/11/09

Cheers to the Andy at HideYourArms.com for giving Dark Bunny Tees a little mention!

HideYourArms.com - A Blog about Hoodies & T-Shirts

"I don’t like to be that guy that says “oh man, Hollywood’s going to really screw up remaking [insert cool Asian horror film here]” but have you noticed that ‘they’ get it wrong a lot more than they get it right? Perhaps the reason behind this is that it takes a non-Hollywood approach to be effective in freaking the bejeezus out of me?

Dark Bunny Tees produce tees that are inspired by movies, but are slightly less obvious in their reference to the films that the tees are based on. It’s a style that I’ve admitted in the past I prefer to a straight-up ‘movie tee’ because it shows more understanding of the genre and that the designers are really into what they’re doing, and not just trying to make a quick buck."

Two New Tees At Dark Bunny

November 12, 2009

Dark Bunny TeesDarkBunnyTees.com have just produced a couple of new tees for their spoof movie collection of shirts. As always incredibly well illustrated this time Dark Bunny’s evil gaze has focused on perhaps one of my all-time favourite classic horror films, the original 1978 version of Dawn Of The Dead by the zombie killing hero of a director George A. Romero and Boogie Nights, which admittedly he has sidetracked the main story and it’s infamous giant appendage belonging to the ‘adult entertainment’ star Dirk Diggler and instead safely drawn your attention to John C. Reilly’s role as Reed Rothchild and his role in this sexy romp.

Let’s take a look at the tees…

Dawn Of The Dead (Gunner’s Den) Tee

Dawn Of The Dead (Gunner's Den) Tee at Dark Bunny

Featuring ‘Gunner’s Den’ - the sports and leisure store at the Monroeville Mall - a mall I would say surely takes the lead role in the classic Dawn of the Dead movie. Lovely dig at middle America, gun-toting family sporting their firearms in the name of freedom. Who can blame them, they want to keep their brains, that’s understandable. Get this tee for £25 in sizes S to XXL (free shipping in the UK) here.

Boogie Nights Tee

Boogie Nights Tee by Dark Bunny Tees

Don’t expect anything explicit here, Dark Bunny has tread the waters carefully to produce a tee spoofing the classic 1997 movie Boogie Nights. As mentioned it features the character Reed Rothchild and his quite simply awful magic show, still a great design all the same. Get yours for for £25 in sizes S to XXL (free shipping in the UK) here.

Dark Bunny Tees has launched yet another pre-order t-shirt design to get your juices flowing. Talking of juices flowing, this movie t-shirt was inspired by Boogie Nights and a concept my older brother James threw my way. Nice one bro - Think the final result is awesome yet cheesey (in a cool way) This won't go to print until next year, but is available for pre-order and I have a feeling this will go like a hot girl on rollerskates!

Ok, so I didn't, but one of my customers and the Dark Bunny Tees Back to the Future t-shirt did. He's not Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp or Simon Pegg, but c'mon - This guy spoke more to me during my childhood than my own father!

Hop Over To The Dark Side - Dark Bunny Tees

Posted: 10 Oct 2009 03:37 PM PDT

Dark Bunny Tees I’m having one of those Donnie Darko moments, if you don’t know what I’m talking about then watch it! If there’s one movie Dark Bunny tees should be reinventing it should be that one, it’d be a great piece of brand alignment. Anyway I love the attitude exuding from this one man brand designed, managed and marketed by freelance illustrator Alex Chenery. Dark Bunny offers a parallel insight into the movie world, and though movie spoof tees are a rapidly growing market, I’ve even reviewed a few in my time at Buy Tees, I’m still convinced that:-

1. There’s plenty more room in the market.

2. Alex definitely has the graphic talent to conquer it if he focuses on building both the collection and brand recognition on the net.

Although his graphic expertise exudes from every pore I do feel the site navigation leaves a lot to desire, but that being a mere technicality I only have praise for Dark Bunny. Artistically these are the best movie tees I have seen in a long old while, I love the distressed effect which really gives the prints a vintage-feel, although I’d pull back from treating every design the same way. The fact is there are those who will love it and those that will hate it, so it’s a gamble, but I admire Alex’s gutsy decision nevertheless.

Asides the beautifully sharp and crisp illustrations there are some nice puns and for once a new label offers a “back story” on each tee, I’ve reviewed sites that don’t even offer a brief description of their t-shirts, bar the usual size, colour and price, so that’s a definite ace in Dark Bunny’s hand. I can appreciate why Alex has used Flash to present the tees and detailed close-ups, but how about a Flickr page to help promote the art, and whilst we’re at it, a Twitter page and blog wouldn’t go amiss. Building a following in a competitive market like this means you have to put yourself out there, the customers will only come if they know where you are.

Check out these tees, there are only five available right now, but I’m sure there will be plenty more to come, hop over to the dark side of movie merchandise with the Dark Bunny!

Jurassic Park Tee

DB’s Jurassic Park tee is awesome, J.A Hammonds has branched out and opened his own pet store, you can now buy a 12″ high T-Rex for just £199 plus a free box of mice. Beautifully macabre, horrifyingly amusing, great concept, great illustration, in fact it’s so good here are a few more close ups.

Back To The Future Tee

Loving the composition here, great spoof of BTTF, probably one of the most popular time travel movies ever made, and there slap bang in the middle of this tee is the flux capacitor. I’m a time travel nut, if there was such thing I’d be off in a jot, although as Red Dwarf has pointed out most clearly, you need to travel both time and space to actually achieve anything close to an adventure. Still I managed to catch the original Time Machine movie yet again today, the rather camp version starring Rod Taylor (one of my least favourite actors in history), the machine is the star of that film. I’ve even seen full scale models of it for sale in the USA, unfortunately they don’t work. Still, you’d think the boffins would’ve invented a hover board by now, at the very least. Get DB’s Back to the Future tee for in denim blue for £25 (UK) and £30.95 (International) including shipping in sizes S to XL.

The Ring Tee

Ringu (The Ring) Tee by Dark Bunny
Ringu (The Ring) Tee by Dark Bunny

Asian horror is fierce and not just Japanese, but Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, if you haven’t seen the original of The Ring, go and watch it, yes subtitles are a bore but damn Hollywood screws up everything of this genre, I don’t need celebrities and cgi, just freaky story lines, spooky filming and great acting, and this movie has that. This t-shirt is appropriately created to the same high standards, featuring perhaps the most iconic scene in the film where a dead girl crawls through the TV, I can hear the bones clicking already. A very nice pun too, if there’s one place you shouldn’t rent a video it’s at Sadako’s. Does anyone still rent videos anyway? Who knows, I’m sure someone’s managed to transfer it to DVD by now. Here’s a great idea for a decent sequel if any movie biz types are reading this, how about “Dead Tube”?. You know, the same plot as Ringu (The Ring) but broadcast on the net, I suppose it would have to be filmed on a grand scale, but it’d work. Ten thousand people doing a ‘Thriller’ walk across Tokyo, should do nicely. Anyway, back to reality, get The Ring tee for £25 (UK) and £30.95 (International) including shipping in sizes S to XL in Vintage Red.

A Nightmare On Elm St. Tee

Nightmare on Elm St. Tee by Donnie Darko
Nightmare on Elm St. Tee (Detail)

To celebrate the remake (fingers crossed it’s any good) of Nightmare on Elm Street in 2010, Dark Bunny is offering up this beauty for pre-order on a limited run for November-December. Love the realty idea, the graphics are superb too, but maybe, just maybe this one could have lived without the crackleture effect. Still that’s just my personal taste. Beautifully drawn, as you’d expect from Dark Bunny, this tee is available in vintage red sizes S to XL. Currently only available for pre-order, the Nightmare on Elm St. tee should be available by November-December 2009 on an initial limited print run.

Check out the final tee featuring Tommy DeVito’s comedy club, a spoof on the Scorcese classic Goodfellas here.

Perhaps the makings of one of the finest movie spoof t-shirt labels on the net, see more details of
